Dr. Green has been in practice for more than 40 years and with Johnstown Family Vision for 27 years. It was July 19, 1977 when Dr. Green and his wife Trudy, a nurse, moved to Johnstown, PA. Joe had an opportunity to begin his practice with Dr. Hecht’s in the Richland Mall. Little did they know that within 24 hours of moving they would lose everything they owned in the third major flood to ever hit Johnstown. Far from friends and family, Joe and Trudy were impressed with the support they received from the people of their new home town. As new residents on that fateful night, they were woven into the fabric of Johnstown’s history and people. They decided that Johnstown was where they would raise their family. Forty years, 3 children and 7 grandchildren later, there are no regrets. Dr. Green enjoys storytelling, mathematics and music (He can tell you about attending Woodstock!). Finding his greatest joy in being a father and grandfather, Dr. Green loves to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Joe and Trudy reside in Davidsville with their 3 dogs.
